Virginia-raised, New York-based left-field pop artist Alden Gardner Robinson operates under the stylized mononym aldn, blending indie rock, pop, and trap on EPs like 2022's Good Grief.

Robinson started uploading his maximalist hyperpop tracks while still in high school. Drawn to singular artists like Skrillex, Linkin Park, Fog Lake, Fall Out Boy, and A Tribe Called Quest, aldn developed his production skills while still in his early teens. By the time of the release of his first single, 2020's "glittr," he had both defined and refined his sound into a dynamic amalgam of glitchy, arpeggiated synths and trap beats, and inward-looking Auto-Tuned pop. More singles followed in 2021, including "2ppl" and "dog eat dog" (feat. Renforshort), both of which appeared on his debut EP Greenhouse, which was released through N.Y.C. indie label Pack.
