The DOX Centre for Contemporary Art will present an extraordinary double concert by the legendary project Current 93, held on the occasion of David Tibet’s solo exhibition Hallucinate, Children. The exhibition introduces Tibet’s visual work as a singular world of visions, texts, images, symbols, and spiritual imagination; the concerts by Current 93 will extend this world into the form of an intense musical event.

Both concerts will take place on the same day, yet they will be conceived as two distinct musical experiences. Rather than a repetition of the same programme, they will offer two autonomous encounters with one of the most distinctive and singular voices in contemporary experimental music. Led by David Tibet, Current 93 has for decades created a unique space at the intersection of apocalyptic nursery – rhymes, poetry, mysticism, dreams, and sonic playgrounds.

This event offers a rare opportunity to experience David Tibet’s work in its full breadth – as image, word, voice, and music. In the context of the exhibition Hallucinate, Children, the double concert at DOX becomes an exceptional convergence of gallery space, concert performance, and the personal mythology of one of the most idiosyncratic visionaries in contemporary culture.
