Don Lázi, the band leader, trumpeter and singer, is the godfather of swing music in Hungary. His stage experience is unique in Hungary, and he has many international successes behind him. At the age of 20, he won first place in the “Ki mit tud” talent show with his youth band, and has since appeared on many television and radio programs. He was the solo trumpeter and singer of the Benkó Dixieland Band for 20 years. In recent decades, he has shared the stage with world-famous musicians: he toured with New Orleans trumpeter Leroy Jones, performed with American trumpeter Mike Vax, clarinetist Joe Murányi, singer Janice Harrington, singer Denis Gordon, blues singer Deitra Farr, and gave a concert for King Philippe of Belgium with world-famous harmonica player Thoots Thielemans.
