Láska a život Schumannových

The Lieder Society presents a song recital in honor of the double anniversary of the brilliant artistic and life partnership of Clara and Robert Schumann. The life story of these two sensitive, exceptionally gifted souls—brilliant composers and virtuoso pianists—will be brought to life by two song duos: soprano Markéta Klaudová with pianist Zdeněk Klauda, and baritone Radek Martinec with pianist Filip Martinka. In addition to the iconic cycle Love and a Woman’s Life, the program will also feature, among other works, Clara’s beautiful cycle Six Songs from Jucunda and Robert’s first Liederkreis, which he dedicated to Clara as a wedding gift.
