Vincen García

Spanish bassist Vincen García makes his Prague debut – brought to you by the Groove Brno festival.*

García is active on the modern bass scene, and his music blends funk, fusion, jazz, and hip-hop. He is known for his technical precision, distinctive compositional style, and unique sound. His work features elements of improvisation as well as rhythmically complex arrangements. He has performed at prestigious festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), the North Sea Jazz Festival (Netherlands), and the Pori Jazz Festival (Finland). In 2023, he released his debut solo album Ventura, which resonated on several European stages as well as in the U.S. Additionally, he collaborated as a bassist on a tour with American guitarist Cory Wong, who is very well-known to fans thanks to Groove Brno. Visitors to the 2025 summer open-air edition of the festival had the chance to see García alongside Wong, where, in addition to their own sets, they treated the audience to a surprise joint performance. His first solo club set took place this past March, also as part of the Groove Brno festival. Due to the show’s enormous success and skyrocketing viewership numbers, the festival organizers decided to bring García to Prague as well.
