Originally a folk-blues trio, the band matured over the years into a crossover quintet by the end of the last millennium. ASPM (Amateur Association of Professional Musicians) straddles the genres of blues, jazz, gumbo, folk, and by touching on each other they create their own unmistakable expression. The shaft of ASPM is Jan Spálený – musician – storyteller, who is the author of most of the songs, singer and player of cornet and piano.
